Visa FAQs – London Visa Services
1. Who are London Visa Services?
We are a private immigration consultancy based in London with over 15 years of experience and more than 15,000 applications handled. We help people living in the UK to prepare and submit visa applications for countries such as the USA, Canada, France (Schengen), EU countries, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Dubai.
We are not an embassy, consulate or government office. We do not work for any government.
2. Are you an embassy or do you work for the government?
No. We are not an embassy, consulate, visa centre or any government body. We are an independent agency that gives advice, checks documents and guides you through the visa process.
All final visa decisions are made only by the official embassy, consulate or visa centre of the country you are applying to.
3. Do you guarantee that my visa will be approved?
No. No private company can legally guarantee a visa.
We do not:
- Guarantee visa approval
- Influence or speed up the decision
- “Fix” refusals with the embassy
We do:
- Explain the rules in simple language
- Check your documents for common mistakes
- Help you present your case clearly and honestly
- Guide you step by step through the process
4. Who can you help?
We mainly help non‑UK passport holders who live in the UK, including:
- People on work, study or family visas in the UK
- Long‑term residents with BRP or other residence permits
- Families and couples living in the UK who want to travel together
If you are unsure whether we can help in your situation, you can contact us and tell us your passport, UK status and travel plans. We will tell you honestly if we can assist.
5. Which countries do you cover?
We currently assist with visa applications for:
- USA (visitor, business and some other categories)
- Canada (visitor and some other categories)
- France / Schengen and other EU countries
- Japan
- Australia
- New Zealand
- Dubai / UAE
For some special or rare visa types we may not be able to help. We will always tell you this clearly at the start.
6. What exactly do you do in the visa process?
Our typical support includes:
- Checking your eligibility based on your passport and UK status
- Explaining which visa type is suitable for your trip
- Giving you a clear document checklist
- Reviewing your documents for gaps or risks
- Helping you complete online forms (for example DS‑160, Schengen forms, etc.)
- Guiding you to book appointments at visa centres or embassies
- Preparing you for interviews with sample questions and tips
- Giving you updates and support until a decision is made
We do not submit false information and we do not advise you to hide facts. All applications must be honest and accurate.
7. What can you NOT do?
We cannot:
- Guarantee a visa or change a decision
- Put pressure on an embassy or visa centre
- Provide fake documents or change your history
- Allow you to skip security checks or legal rules
- Decide how long your visa will be valid
We will always work within the law and the official rules of each country.
8. How long does the visa process take?
Processing times depend on:
- The country you are applying to
- The type of visa
- The time of year (busy seasons can be slower)
- Your personal situation and background checks
We will:
- Tell you the usual processing times based on recent cases
- Help you apply as early as possible
- Explain what to expect at each stage
We cannot control how fast the embassy or visa centre works, and we cannot promise a decision by a specific date.
9. How much do your services cost?
Our fees depend on:
- The country and visa type
- How complex your case is (for example, previous refusals, criminal history, unusual travel plans)
We will always:
- Give you a clear price before you agree
- Explain what is included in the fee
- Confirm that our fee is separate from any official embassy or visa centre fees
Official visa fees are paid to the embassy, consulate or visa centre and are not controlled by us.
10. Are your fees refundable if my visa is refused?
Our service fee is for our time, advice and work on your case. Because this work is done before the decision, our service fee is usually non‑refundable, even if the visa is refused.
Official embassy or visa centre fees are also normally non‑refundable. We will explain this clearly before you pay.
If we offer any special refund policy for a specific service, we will confirm it in writing.
11. What happens if my visa is refused?
If your visa is refused, we can:
- Review the refusal letter with you
- Explain the reasons in simple language
- Advise whether a new application, appeal or waiting is better
- Help you prepare a stronger re‑application if it makes sense
We will always be honest if we think a new application is unlikely to succeed.
12. Can you help if I had a previous refusal or immigration issue?
Yes, in many cases we can still help.
We will:
- Ask you for full details of your previous refusals or issues
- Review your history and documents
- Explain the risks and what can be improved
- Help you present your case clearly and honestly
We cannot remove past refusals or guarantee a different outcome, but we can help you avoid simple mistakes and present a stronger file.
13. Do you help with documents and forms?
Yes. This is a big part of our work.
We can:
- Give you a clear checklist of documents
- Check your bank statements, employment letters, tenancy, etc. for common problems
- Suggest better ways to show ties to the UK and your home country (within the rules)
- Help you complete online forms correctly and clearly
You are always responsible for giving us true and complete information.
14. Do you prepare me for the visa interview?
Yes, if your visa type includes an interview.
We can:
- Explain what usually happens at the interview
- Share typical questions for your visa type
- Help you practice clear, honest answers
- Give tips on documents to carry and how to present them
We do not tell you to lie or hide information. All answers must be truthful.
15. Can you speed up my application or get me an earlier appointment?
We cannot promise faster decisions or special treatment.
In some cases, certain countries allow priority services or emergency appointments. Where this is available, we can:
- Explain the rules and extra fees
- Help you request a faster service if you qualify
The final decision on speed and appointments is always made by the embassy, consulate or visa centre.
16. How do I start working with you?
You can start by:
- Filling in our online contact or eligibility form, or
- Sending us an email with your passport type, UK status and travel plans, or
- Calling us during our office hours
We will review your details and suggest:
- Whether we can help
- Which service is best for you
- The fees and next steps
17. How do you communicate with clients?
We usually communicate by:
- Email – for documents, checklists and written advice
- Phone or video call – for consultations and explanations
- WhatsApp or similar – for quick updates (where appropriate)
We try to reply as quickly as possible, but response times may vary during busy periods.
18. Is my information kept confidential?
Yes. We treat your information as private and confidential.
We use your data only to:
- Assess your case
- Prepare your application
- Communicate with you about your visa process
We do not sell your data. We may share information only where needed to provide the service (for example, with official visa centres) and always in line with privacy rules.
19. What should I do if I am not sure which visa I need?
If you are unsure:
1. Tell us your passport, UK status, destination country and reason for travel.
2. We will explain which visa options may fit your situation.
3. We will tell you what is realistic and what is not, based on our experience and the official rules.
